New washing machine time, advice please

Hi,
My CDA washing machine has broken for the second time in 1 month. Its 4 years old but still under warrenty. It cost £70 to call out an engineer but parts are free. Its had a lot of use and we think it will just keep going wrong so have decided to buy a new one.
For the the machine:
We have upto £500 to spend would prefer to spend less but could go a little higher.
We want something long lasting(!) with a long parts and labour guarentee.
We want a machine that can cope with over 700 washes a year.

So if you can advise on a good buy or even a good machine that I can search the best price for.

please note… it says collect in person so if your no were near salisbury…try looking at these on this actual site… your money will be very well spent on this brand.

Also on that link for some reason hes listing it as stainless steel in the colour.. yet it blatantly looks white so i would query that.

Dunno if ISE actually are available in SS but im sure someone will correct me if this is the case?

sorry u seem to have been posting about integrated while i was posting too… so rule that link out. 😕

For your price im not sure if u will get a real top of the range with a long warranty when it comes to integrated… but obviously shop around.

Maybe… I havnt really looked into it that far as havnt been approached for one … maybe someone who is more up to date on the ISE range would care to respond?

So ISE do not have an intergrated machine?
Anyone know about the Fagor FWM714IT Integrated Washing Machine?
Never heard of the brand but its about £400 with 5 year warrenty.

Hi

To get longevity of life, long guarantee and quality of product to cope with 13 odd cycles a week is not gonna come cheap 😉 .

Probably the best out there is the ISE10 1600 spin AAA rated which does come with a full ten year domestic warranty and a three year commercial warranty, however it does come at a higher price.

What you will get is a machine that will last in the region of twenty years, be serviced by a local engineer who in most cases would have installed it as well for you. While it isn`t integrated,the unique drop down outer door does hide the porthole quite nicely. More on ISE appliances can be found here currently the machines only come in the white finish.

Unfortunately we only have a space for an intergrated machine.
I was really liking the ISE machines! Gutted.
Have found a Fagor fwm714it, which is intergrated and has a 5 year parts and labour warrenty. Best price £389. Looks like a good deal but never heard of them!

Any machine will go into the space you have. Remove the the plinth, cut through it, remove the old machine and fit any freestanding machine in it`s place 😉

While I personally have no experience of Fagor, at that sort of price it aint gonna last long after the five year warranty has expired :rolls: then you will need to start over. Best if you can would be to invest now for the future years.

Billy….If you do a bit of research (Google is your friend)….you’ll find that the Fagor brand is fairly well established on the UK market.

That’s NOT to say they are particularly good or bad, -with manufacturers dropping like flies in this recession, it’s pot-luck on any but the biggest manufacturers and even then, if it’s a comglomerate, they still won’t hesitate to pull out of a loss-making sector…..(look at Daewoo, huge outfit into shipbuilding downwards,but they let the car company go under ,though it was bought by Chrysler, IIRC. )

For some reason I’ve never understood, an integrated machine, lacking the “cosmetic”outer-panels, is dearer than it’s stand-alone equivalent.

IMHO, you’re not going to get within a country-mile of ISE or Miele quality at your price-point….you are buying a machine which you should be prepared to write off at the end of the extended warranty,-as, indeed ,you’re doing with the CDA.
