new world dw60 dishwasher starts but programme wont work

my new world dw60 dishwasher has power to it but i cant get any programme to work, buttons are pressed but no response from machine.
maybe the circuitry has gone faulty or a power loss somewhere
Please can anyone advise as i am at a loss

This is one of those horrible Chinese jobbies…….. Check that the door latch is not in the closed position as a starting point. Failing that, dead pcb, burnt out door switch, flooded base, tripped heater safety – just about anything, really.

Power off before removing any panel.

Thanks for the reply the buttons are at the top of door when opened so no way to start when door closed..as for the other faults you mention maybe a new dishwasher is in order?

If the door latch in the top of the door is in the closed position, it won’t program….. Have a look in the hole – you should see two “prongs” looking back at you. If the hole appears to be barred, the latch is shut.

Kindest thing that you can say about these is that they are poor – put ‘chinese AND dishwasher’ into Search for a rather fuller picture.

Just had one fixed; apparently the motors go open circuit on failure and don’t display an error.

New motor is ~£100; we got ours mended by http://www.repairandprotect.co.uk for £130 labour + parts + 12mo guarantee.
