ParticipantLast week I noticed that one of the knobs on my oven had melted.
Phoned New World and they agreed to send new knobs. But now the the grill cuts out after about 10 minutes. Phoned New World again and they say i will have to pay £140 for an engineer to visit.
Can anyone suggest possible causes and solutions.
Many thanks

POSSIBLE COOLING FAN NOT RUNNING?
CAN YOU FEEL A SLIGHT BREEZE FROM VENTS 😉September 22, 2009 at 6:05 pm #297255RaceyMacey

Hi Washermanuk,
thank you for the reply. I think you have hit the nail on the head.
I have checked and there is a very slight breeze coming from the front vents. So I have also pulled the oven forward enough to see the fan at the back of the oven (i guess this is the cooling fan). With the oven or gril on the fan is turning very slowly.
so the big question is; do I need to replace the fan, or is it part somewhere that controls the fan?
Any help / suggestions would be appreciated.

dont ask me why they fail, but belling, stoves, new world, and diplomat are all affected by this. thats over 60{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of gas b/i double ovens!
also there is a thermostat/temp sensor that activates the cooling fan, if this is faulty it wont activate the cooling fan

also there is a temp sensor : (thermostat/thermistor – not sure precisely is which) that activates the cooling fan, if this is faulty it wont activate the cooling fan

sorry for delay! Sounds more like the fan seizing ?
