Hi, my first post so please be gentle with me.
I have a New World Sterling built-in gas oven. It was already installed when I moved in so is at least 12 years old. Today the main oven door seems to have detached from a spring I’d guess, the New World parts department quoted me part no.081555700 but could not offer any installation details of a schematic drawing. I searched on-line and found a few posts but all seem to be for a door mounted spring mechanism whereas I have what seems to be a spring hidden inside the ovens body. On this forum I found a post ref.Stoves Door Removal from June 2010. In that post I think it is the same hinge type I have but it is about door removal, I need spring replacement. Can anyone help please?

Yeah, all too likely the same deal.

That hinge spring (here) is actually not all that common to be used, they go but not as much as the door foot thing (here) which is a more common thing to use on those machines.

If you look to the model numbers there and search the forums you’ll probably get a load of info on them but, from memory and it’s been years since I did one of them, they were a bit of a pain to work out.

    K.
