ParticipantMy 2 month Hotpoint is causing problems already, it has developed a vibration kind of sound mid cycle?
An engineer is coming out next week to replace the circulation pump, what would be the cause of the vibration??, it only starts to vibrate about half way through the cycle.

its an indesit which has a spray pump of such poor quality its even worse than the bad whirlpool ones. i’ve replaced a couple of the hotpoint ones both at about 13 months. dare i say it but now you’ve bought it you might consider their extended labour warranty, cos it costs £104 to get hotpoint out once your normal warranty expires. an independent like me would be hard pushed to replace that pump for less and still be able to feed my kids.

Or… i could just smash it with a hammer and say to the insurance it was a meteor strike – or something to that effect. 😆October 20, 2010 at 7:52 am #333269Martin

Nah, that’s a ‘act of God’ and the insurance co. won’t pay up I’m afraid.
Still, you’ve had 2 months out of it anyway Simon so count your blessings. I and many others have been following ‘your story’ as it pans out, a tale all too familiar. The Indesit service engineer will now be welcomed into your home and in no time at all a familiar face. Many call so regularly that they quickly become part of the family, with gifts shared across the Christmas dining table…………… 🙂

Well the Circulation pump was replaced, the new pump still vibrates a little right at the end of the cycle just before the drying cycle….i guess thats just the way they are…if it gets worse i will just have to live with it.
