ParticipantI have a Newpol status S1001 washing machine and need a new belt for it. Has anyone got any idea where i could get one apart from Spain that is.
Or maybe there is a English machine that is very similar and that part would fit.
Hope someone can help, thought it would be easy to find one but no nothing ever is.
🙁

Hi. You can order a belt from the the following suppliers in Spain.

But as mentioned by Penguin, you will need the four figure number and two letters to get the right belt, which is elasticated. W.WOctober 15, 2009 at 1:17 am #299003gandh1

Hazel, may i ask, what makes you think you need a new belt ?
It wont be an “old” machine, but that model is one of the washers that were also badged up as servis over here in the uk. Not quite sure which model – will check tomorrow – iirc it was a 3000 series – but i know those servis’s are now getting to the point where bearing failures are becoming more and more common.
Reason I ask this is that the belts for w/m generally do not tend to go as often as what they do for tumble dryers, and are often wrongly accused for a w/m not spinning, when in fact they are perfectly ok!
First and foremost have you seen the old belt? If you havent, then first thing is to see if the current belt is in one piece, or if its snapped? If its in one piece, and a complete loop, one possibility is that the washer has been overloaded and has just thrown the belt off. If its not in a complete loop is it in a strip and shredded at both ends, leaving feathered “threads” of belt hanging, or has it melted through cleanly in one point?
if its the latter, my fear is that the drum may have jammed and after tracking down a new belt, and fitting it, you will find you get the same problem soon after.
regards
