ModeratorI wonder if it would be posible to have some more down home news item’s on the front page.
I know that we have a responsibility to keep the membership informed. It’s just that some times it seems only to be megga corporate world bankers news that appears on the front page rather than news items that would appeal to the likes of say ……Joe Bloggs, Eccinthorpe Dar.Perhaps we could lighten up a little now and then on one or two items and give some new’s like ………I dont know,….. maybe :-
ITEM
Mr.s higginbottom of suburbia catches left tit in mangle and swears to buy a new front loader
Or
ITEM
Service engineer in blackpool shot dead after being caught takin payment in kind by irate husband
O.k. I know these are rediculous but I only use them to illustrate what items would hold more interest to some of our members.Just a thought

If I get it, it can be posted.
Many of the stories on there are posted for a reason as they either do, or could have, some bearing on what goes on within the industry as a whole. Often times the likes of a squeeze on shares means that service agents get grief to cut the cloth as well.
Classic examples are obviously Whirlpool and Electrolux. 😉

If anyone has any news stories, you can use the “Submit News” link on the main navigation menu, one of us wil get to it and post it pretty quickly 😀
Or, email it to admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk whichever you prefer.

Sort of? I would think although in this case it’s just an advert for a brand of cleaner, so whilst having a kind of link its not quite there for ‘Front Page News’.
I search high and low for news items and submit many as you know, but I too would love to find more down to earth stuff as Del describes. Sadly very little of that gets publicity I suppose 🙁
I thought I found a news shattering item last week from the Exeter Express & Echo, “Shopkeeper wealds a club at irate customer!” was the headline, but couldn’t get confirmation as to who down there had flipped :rotfl:
…still searching for topical stuff, HOLD THE FRONT PAGE !!! :martin:

I think the last news item I submitted may be closer to home as Del suggested albeit a tragic tale in this case 🙁
