    Apart from the obvious accessibility issue, interestingly, according to IET (author of the wiring regs):

    Washing machines and tumble dryers may be installed in a bathroom provided they are:
     supplied from a switched fused flex outlet installed outside the zones (socket outlets
    are only allowed 3 m horizontally from the boundary of zone 1);
     protected by a 30 mA RCD; and
     permitted for such installation by the manufacturer.

    It would be interesting to see what Bosch say on this topic in the user manual

    The Bosch user manual has nothing to say on use in a bathroom. So provided the machine is powered by a fixed flex outlet at least 0.6 metres clear of the wall surfaces immediately above the bath and basin, it seems this is perfectly legal from an electrical safety point of view. The key restriction for bathrooms is that there must not be a socket outlet within 3 metres of a bath or shower (except for a shaver socket meeting the relevant standard for isolation)

    If they’d thought about it, they could have at least installed it a bit more to the right so the filter could drain into the bath :p

    I can imagine… “Ha ha, you want that repaired, good luck with that..” as the repairer exits stage left.

    Imagine the wall fixings giving way on a spin cycle – certain death for anyone sitting on the loo
    Dave

    Not sure I’d trust the shelf brackets enough to sit on the loo during a spin cycle

    Aaaahhhh Why!!!!!!

    I thought a simple Cooker Hood repair. 3 a fuse blown and bulb base stuck in bulb holder. Wait…where the plug?
    Had to remove the CH after using my boroscope I found the plug and socket BEHIND the CH. Why? Nearly an hour for a 10 minute job. What an absolute PITA
