    Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with my Bosch washing machine (WAE 24271FF/32).
The circuit breaker tripped during a washing cycle. The laundry had some black stains. I also noticed black on the drive pulley.
The machine is not turning on, the display stays dark.
I checked the power socket, which is working, so I’m not sure what’s going on.
I took the rear panel off (see photo) and looked from underneath, which appears to be fine.

Has anyone experienced this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!

That is just general dust, nothing to be concerned about.

If the machine is totally dead then the obvious of fuse but then you are into checking the mains block, interference filter, then power switch and/or door lock.

    Hi Kwatt,

    Thank you for your response.

Is there a fuse in the machine?
And how do I check the mains block, interference filter and the power switch?

    The door opens as usual.

The fuse in the plug was what I meant.

look for obvious signs of failure like scorching on things first.

The problem with tripping faults is that, without electrically testing or it being pretty obvious what the problem is, they can be a nightare to track down, as explained here:

Randomly replacing parts to try to solve it is inadvisable at best.

That is good to know, and thank you for the interesting link.

Unfortunately, the machine is in the garage, which is humid during winter. Not ideal.

Nope, that is not ideal at all.
