    Hi,
We bought the above dishwasher in December and finally got it plumbed in 3 weeks ago. It was running perfectly until last week, we set it to wash overnight, I came down in the morning to find the lights off on the dishwasher. I didn’t think anything of it, as we had never run the dishwasher overnight so I just assumed the lights went out after a certain time. The dishes were perfectly clean.

We went to use the machine again at the weekend and found it won’t turn on, we’ve checked the plug, changed the fuse in it with a brand new one and a known working one. We’ve checked the wall socket with another appliance – it works fine.

I opened the salt dispenser (we’ve never used salt) and it’s filled to the brim with water – same with the filter in the machine at the front (with the metal plate). I followed the diagrams and scooped out the water. I took out the black plastic clip like it showed, but I didn’t know what I was looking for after that – there was a white rotating plastic part behind the black plastic cover – but didn’t know what it was, so I just reassembed it and have left it alone.

We’ve also checked the pipes – none are kinked, there is no problem with the water supply as we tried it in a basin – good pressure. The electric lead is fine – no marks, kinks or tears.

We have called customer services and someone will come out to look at it next week. In the meantime, does anyone know what the fault may be?

    Thanks!

(p.s the dishwasher ‘Type’ as noted in the door, is SL1501B)

Possibly the “Bosch Exploding Mains Suppressor Syndrome” – we’ve had a few of these recently. Still, if it’s in guarantee I wouldn’t worry about it -the BSH techs are first class.
