    It’s true Andy 😉

You should be okay as a sole trader, but if you were to give a lift then I guess you would need one.

Oh Andy, not worth ignoring. I’ve got several spare stickers so I’ll send you a couple. Those jobsworths patrolling the streets down your way will get ya, oh yes they will. Especially as many are Sun readers and are keen to prove Trevor in Kent isn’t alone. 😈

Perhaps the jobs worth thought he was delivering a Hotpoint / Whirlpool Tumble Dryer.
The councils now try everything they can now to fundraise. 😀

The police are just the same.

A few years ago I was pulled over as one of my brake lights was not working I was pulled over by the police officer on a busy duel carriageway and I said to him it was working this morning and I carry spare bulbs to replace it.

He still gave me a £30 fixed penalty fine.

I said to him without looking are your brake lights working and he said he checked them when he started the shift and I said a bulb can blow at any time and made him check his brake lights.

Unfortunately his brake lights worked ok but I did point out he had to check as he could not confirm they worked until he checked.

He then told me I could go but I said if I drive away then I am committing an offence as I now know the brake light was not working.

I said to him I am stopped in a dangerous position and he will have to stay until I change the light bulb.

he was not amused and his passenger a lower ranked officer smiled.

They then had to explain as a call came in for them that they could not attend as a van driver needed them to stay for safety reasons until he had repaired his van.

I wonder if that made him think twice before pulling over someone with a faulty brake light bulb and giving them a ticket instead of a warning.
