Hi all, Would be grateful for a couple of pointers.
This machine failed to spin but would pump out.
It then managed a short wash but RCD? tripped towards the end. On resetting power to the house- no Spin at the end of the cycle. If I select drain that works and pumps out residual water. If I select Spin cycle it just keeps draining.
The filter is clear. I can blow from pressure sensor downwards very easily. Not sure how to check the pressure sensor other than it does click with a gentle blow.
Moved to the motor and found brushes only 4 mm long so have replaced them.
Now no spin – even for the wash cycle.
Have checked continuity on motor. Connector on the motor has 6 terminals. Top 2 have continuity as do the bottom two. No continuity between the middle pair. The lower connection of this pair is connected to the brush adjacent to this socket. The upper connection of the middle pair shows no continuity to the other brush. This suggests a problem with something inside the motor – eg TCO. Is this likely? Or is there something else I should check first?

    Thanks for reading,
    James

Probably the TOC in the motor (small silver device soldered in the carbon brush support ring) has blown. 🙁

    Hi,
Is the TOC replaceable with a bit of soldering perhaps? If so do you supply spares?
