    Hi I’ve got a hotpoint aquarius wd420 washer dryer. It tries to turn in wash cycle but just gives up. but when it goes into rinse and final spin it turns ok. can anyone help???

    That machine should be giving you an error message if it is faulty. One or more of the sloping bank of lights on the left of the console, together with the mains neon should flash. Are you getting any lights flashing?
