E1 is ‘water in base’, ie it’s leaking/overfilling.
Tip machine back at 45o with towels around it the drain the base pan then find the leak….plug out of course :zap:

hmmm… brilliant thanks, but this is where it is integrated. Do you think this will also resolve the water not coming into the machine. The E1 is no longer displaying as i powered it on and off a number of times.

You can with a bit of patience mop out the base with a sponge via the lower kick panel to save taking it out of the installation but you’ll still need to find the leak…and more importantly fix it which will most likely be impossible in situ.
Powering on and off can reset the pcb so it simply no longer remembers that the fault occurred but it will prolly pick it straight up again when you try to run it 😕
I should add that you must ensure the appliance is fully isolated before doing this!

Well i have given a good clean and drain of water, water started coming in 🙂 , but i’ve found the leak which i believe is coming from the base, where the bottom arm sits, or around where the central plastic filter sits…anymore ideas please

The only way TBH is to get the machine out of the housing, get the base tray off, run the machine until a leak appears, unplug, tip back and then have a really good look with a torch if necessary. Any leak usually leaves a pretty good trail of water so follow it back to the source and let us know precisely where it emanates 😉
This particular model is made by Smeg which do occasionally get leaks although the sump pan is not a common one.
