No water to bottom spray arm…any advice please

Hi, i have a New World FDW600W, and it is our first ever dishwasher.
It is just over a year old.
Admittedly is is a budget model, but at the time of purchase i had little choice re finances 😕
Two days ago i noticed that some items in the lower basket were not getting properly cleaned. Today i on testing, i found that the lower spinning arm was not spraying water. The top arm is working perfectly.
I have taken the arm off and there are no blockages.
I have opened the side of the unit to check for any obvious problems but realise i need to remove the bottom plate to get a better look, which i will do tomorrow.
Can someone please tell me… Is the outlet off of the pump just a simple ‘Y’ setup, which splits to the two arms? There seems to be an electronic switch/solenoid attached to the top of the ‘Y’ outlet… Does this alternate the flow in any way? And if this is the case, could this switch have shut off the lower feed?
I always assumed that both spray arms worked simultaneously.
I need to know if this is a costly problem before i take it any further… the repair would likely come to more than the price of the machine.

dont know that model at all but as it has a valve it probably means it has a half load setting, has the half load been set accidently?

I’m afraid it’s the usual “Chinese-tat-with-a-badge-on-it”. The alternator mechanism on the circulation motor will have failed. New pump required. Please don’t bother, you’ll spend 3/4s of the purchase cost sorting this alone, and then it’ll go wrong again. And again. And again. We could become your best friends…….

Cut your losses now, do some research, set a decent budget and buy a proper one. £200 will not buy you a machine with any hope whatsoever of a reasonable service life.

Hi

There is the solenoid on this wash pump which the flap falls away and stops the water bypass.The engineer can remove this from the solenoid and it will work as normal without the half load option.

OK thanks for all your help…
I have never used the half load setting – are you saying if half load is selected, only the top arm would operate? I assumed it would have been the bottom arm.
This half load business had crossed my mind when inspecting the pump yesterday.
I have two choices – get this half load flow switch removed, or shell out for a new machine this close to xmas when i need all the christmas wonga i can muster…
I’ll give the first option a bash if its a viable option 🙂

Thanks fellas you have been very helpful.
I removed the base of the washer and took off the half load switch housing….removed the solenoid flap and replaced the housing.
As if like magic its working perfectly 😀
Looks like a microchip must have gone AWOL. I hve never used half load since having the damn machine.
Will spend much more wisely next time…but at least this effort will get me over xmas now…i’ll re-order the turkey lol
