Noise but no cooling…

Hi.
I have a zanussi Z 56/3 w.

It’s been playing up and now while there is a continuous sound of the compressor there is little or no cooling effect going on in either the fridge or freezer.

Any thoughts on what could cause this and is it worth paying for a diagnosis or replacing it with a new unit?

It sounds like the compressor or gas if it is not cooling and running all the time.

Not a cheap or DIY repair so better to buy a new one.
