Noisey LG Recirculation Pump – Alternative?

Hi all,

I have an LG F1479FDS 9kg Steam Washer now 4 years old. It works very well, however the recirculation pump turned intolerably noisy last year. It was changed, and that one met the same fate. The entire pump unit (including drain pump and filter chamber) were changed again this year, for what I am told was a genuine LG part – the pumps have an orange “Askoll” label on them.

The latest change appears to be heading the same way – the recirculation pump makes the most horrendous noise, intensifying with longer, hotter washes. The new drain pump is getting pretty noisey too. The bottom kick plate adds to the noise by vibrating now too 😡 I have checked the filter and made sure that the pump is free of obstruction.

I’m growing frustrated with having spent money on what was a relatively quiet washer, only for this to be undone by noisy pumps. I wondered if anyone could recommend anything, or perhaps an alternate parts manufacturer? Or is this a problem with the machine circuitry itself?

I have changed a few of these. when the pump system is changed you need to check the pipe work up to the door seal too.. and the little outlet nozzle.

as far as I know the only part is from LG, no other interchangeable parts available
