    I have a 7 year old Bosch Logixx washer/dryer WVH28420GB/02.
The noise of the drum rotating would suggest that the bearing is starting to fail. It makes a noisy grumble which gets much worse at spin speeds.

I appreciate that this repair is serious diy job, but I would rather have a go than buy a new machine. My problem is that I can’t see the bearings for sale online. All I can find is the back half of the tub, with bearing already fixed – for £200+ ! I’m too tight to spend £200 on 2 bearings. I plan to open it up, confirm it is the bearing, identify them and see if they are replaceable. I guess I’ll need some seals too.

Can anyone offer any advice. e.g. Are the bearings replaceable? What are they and where can I get some from?

    many thanks

the bearings should not be a problem. Shop site should be able to supply no probs

you will need a drum seal 647912 as you have to break plastic tabs off to split the tub and the seal kit has new bolts to replace

the problem is the shaft seal. Take it out very carefully to preserve any identifying numbers and lets hope we can x ref it

Thanks very much for you help.

I have got it all apart. What an effort, especially with the dryer components.

There were no tabs to break on the tub, I simply removed 19 screws and it came apart. There is a rubber seal still in the rim of one tub half. Looks OK, but I’m happy to replace, if that makes sense.
Front bearing is noisy, rough, rusty and has movement.

Front bearing: NSK 6206Z CHINA 6206A27
my measurements: outer diameter 62, inner 30, width 16mm

Back bearing: NSK 6205Z CHINA 5205A26
my measurements: outer diameter 52, inner 25, width 15mm

    Seal (very hard to read) 9000202920, 37 4 62 10 12, INDIA, CFW
my measurements: outer diameter 62, inner 38?, width 10.
The spring inside has snapped (perhaps I did that, getting it out)

The last number on the bearings and all the numbers on the seal were hard to read, so may be inaccurate.

    Now, to find those parts.
