    MY hotpoint mistral frost free has been displaying E2 for about a year – I dont have the manual and things stayed cold enough so didn’t bother – anyway it is getting worse and now the fan? makes a horrendous noise. Should I DEFROST THE freezer? Are there any engineers in EH23 area? How much will this cost me? Thank you ❓ 😥

    Yes defrosting it could stop the noise if the fan is hitting ice.
