    Hi all,

    The fan in my oven has started to sound like it is about to take off so the other day I gave it a squirt with some WD40 which has made the noise less but now when I turn the oven on it fills up with smoke!! Should I not have sparyed WD40 in there?? Will I need to call someone out for this??

    sounds like you also sprayed the heating element which fits around the fan and its now burning the wd 40 off the wd 40 will at best only be a temporary repair so i would advise you get someone in to look at your fan

    Ah I see, thanks Phil I will do…. Will I have caused any damage by doing this?
