On June 11th this year I purchased a new AEG Model AGN58210f0 freezer which was installed in my kitchen. The noise level is so high it can be heard all over the house and is a nuisance.Have sent a e-mail of complaint to the CEO of Electrolux and also filled in one of their contact forms but neither have as yet replied.Any advice please as the noise is driving us up the wall.

What’s its location? Is it on level ground? Wooden floorboards? Is it clear of the wall? Have you adhered to the specific manufacturers installation instructions? Have you complained to the supplier as they are more accountable than the manufacturer?

Affirmative to all your queries.Still waiting for replies from all and sundry. The compressor is quiet and the noise is all created by the fan.

Bit of polystyrene that’s used as shelf transit packing caught in fan blades maybe?

    Hi

As the machine is under guarantee, just phone Service Force they will arrange for an engineer to call and sort the problem free of charge.

Out of interest which retailer was the appliance purchased from?

It will probably just need a little adjustment to the fan blade. A simple thing but nonetheless irritating.
They’ll sort it out for you in a few minutes.
