Hello.
Our fridge freezer has been making loud buzzing noises for about 10 days now. It does it on and off, so I guess it’s the fan? Sometimes it is louder than other times. It seems fairly erratic.
I think it’s about 8 years old. Would it be wise to get it fixed? Or wait till it breaks down and get a new one?

If it is a frost free model the fan may be catching against ice that has not defrosted.
Get someone to look after your food then try a 48 hour defrost.
Turn it off and leave the doors open for 48 hours / 2 Days then it should be ok when you turn it back on.
It will take about 4 to 6 hours to get back to normal working temperature.
