Indesit WIXL143 1400 spin. Bought in Feb 2008 so six years old.
Been faultless up to now. At the end of the last few washes the final couple of minutes of ‘mad dash’ spin before it stops have got very noisy. Not grating, squeaking, banging and clattering, just as ‘normal’ but very, very noisy.
If I were twenty years younger I would have have pulled it out and taken it apart.
It washes fine and the clothes come as dry as usual. Wondering whether it’s worth getting someone to look at or just get a new one.

If you remove the belt and spin the drum by hand and the noise is still there then the bearings are going. This machine has the dreaded Inde***t sealed tub and would not be a cost effective repair.
If it were me I would go out and buy a new machine but not an Indesit or Hotpoint :rolls:
Bosch are well worth a look 😉
