noisy miele dishwasher

Hi all

this forum has helped me out more than once when i needed to repair my samsung side-by-side fridge freezer and when my zanussi washing machine packed up, so thanks to everyone who helped

so, when my dishwasher packed up this forum was the first place to look for the best replacement

so after a few patient weeks on eBay, a 3 year old MIELE G975 SC plus dishwasher was mine. 😀

works perfectly

BUT

when it’s cleaning, it’s noisy, not the arms clanking on dishes or the water spraying around inside, but more like a mechanical noise, like a fan blade on a motor touching the casing, or a bit of debris or something touching a motor shaft etc

any ideas?

Possibly a foreign body in the circulation pump – the filters don’t seem to work all that well on these.

Power off, strip down and remove is your on;y course of action.

Power off first, please.

will it do any damage if i leave it?

is there an exploded diagram of my dishwasher online somewhere to help with the strip down?
