    Morning all,
I got a shiny new A42-5 Smeg cooker delivered and installed before Christmas. Everything seems to work fine, however, can’t help but notice how noisy the top oven is. Especially when compared to the near silent running of the bottom oven.

I presume it is the convection fan at work, but it doesn’t sound like the expertly engineered piece of equipment that I would expect.

Is it known that the A42-5 tends to make a bit of a rattle from the top oven? Or should I be getting an engineer around?

    Cheers for your help
    Nick

    Hi Nick,

It sounds like you have a noisy cooling fan which is fairly common on many cookers and that’s what’s rattling. It’s not uncommon for them to be knocked in transit.

To put it right you will need an engineer to call and sort it out.
