My upper spray arm makes a whining noise. It’s definitely the arm because i deliberately stuck a big knife in the cutlery basket to stop it rotating, and the noise went. Now i could replace it, but i’m a real tight arse and don’t want to because it isn’t actually broken. What i need is some lubrication to stop the noise, but with hot water, salt and detergent, i can’t think of anything that will stay put and not get washed away. Any ideas?

Hello Mr Tight A*se, no solution that I know of, give us the ENR model number and we can get you the part number and price to replace, may be cheaper than you think.

Managed to fix it! The noise was coming from the locking nut and spray arm rubbing together. I cut a thin plastic disc out of a cd wallet and put it in between them and the noise has gone.

You get 10 out of 10 for that.
