hi there our new washing machine came and i stalled it but we notice the waste gargles constantly when it starts to pump out.
the only thing i can see is that the drain hose from back of machine is too long and is acting like a u bend itself.

does anyone know what else it can be and i need to can i shorten the drain hose by cutting it.

    thanks

If your connection to the waste is prior to the S-bend and overflow for your sink then this can happen… If you move the connection to the aft of these connections then the gargling will normally disappear.

Re: noisy waste on washing machine

thanks for your reply, i dont understand why its doing it as it was fine on the old machine, there does seem to be quite a long waste hose and it does tend to sag quite a bit so water wil settle in the sagging bit of hose, would that make it gargle?

if this is the case can i cut the hose to make it shorter.

the hose attaches just above the bend, but below the overflow for the sink it its push fitted onto the waste pipe. if anyone has anyother idea’s i would be very gratefull as we live in a apartment where the washing machine is in the kitchen/living room so watching tv with the gargling of the machine is doing our heads in lol.
