Does anybody use one of these and if so how do you get the voice recorder to work whilst you`re talking on a hands free and want to record the call………and driving at the same time!.

At the moment I`m having to hit four or five keys before it starts recording so there must be an easier way 😕 .

    Thanks guys.

    Chris.

if you go into tools > settings > phone > standby mode, you can allocate a key to access the voice recorder directly, I can record a voice message by pressing 2 buttons.

    hope it helps

    Hi
How do you guys rate this phone ?
I am thinking getting one in the next couple of weeks, it would be nice to have an opinion from someone who actually uses one on a day to day basis

It depends what you want out of a phone really. I have one and personally find the menu hard to navigate compared to the usual Nokia format.

If you want and will use all the features it has then it’s great, if you just want to make phonecalls, I would choose a different Nokia 😉

    Thanks Dave
I would certainly use the bluetooth & voice recorder features, proberbly get GPS for it in the future (Next couple of months). Other features ? not sure about untill I try them.

I like my 6680 Tony, but I upgraded from an old motorola microtac flip phone, so it was a revelation for me to see how far mobile phone technology had advanced, I also liked the look of the samsung d600 but I like the look of anything shiny and new, I also use a symbian program with my phone called powernavigation and for any walkers or orienteers it is a killer application when used in conjunction with a bluetooth gps unit.

Hi Washtec and anybody who can help.

I did what you said but both of the selection keys are used for other things when the phone is in use so the voice recorder still won`t operate during a call other than going thru`four or five buttons.

    Any suggestions.

    Chris.

I have to say I’m left pretty unimpressed with the new mobiles on offer.

Colour screens, cameras… why? It’s a phone, not a multimedia experience, if I want that I’d buy a PDA or take my laptop out with me.

I have a 6680 and it eats the battery when you actually give it some stick, mine can be killed in under three hours easily using Bluetooth in the car. Also very annoying, as well as battery unfriendly, is the fact that when you stick it in your pocket the rear case oftenslides down turing on the stupid camera and proceeding to kill the battery.

It’s an okay phone, but far from perfect.

Hi Ken….I would suggest you need a new battery. I too have a 6680 and get at least three days out of it, and the bluetooth is always on during the day whilst driving about. (this usually involves between 20 and 30 mins of talktime each day)

Tried another battery in it, still dies.
