    Hi Guys

Hope you can help. I recall having this problem a year or so ago just after I bought the machine and I’m sure a faulty control board was the problem, so this just might be clarification.

The machine loads and goes through the was cycle until it gets to drain when 2 lights flash 1) Crease 2) Time – on the left handside of the facia. The power button also flashes.

The machine drains manually if I lower the drain hose to floor level but it won’t pump. Does this sound like the control board again? I know the machine is covered by the parts warranty but if the control board is less than the call out charge I would rather fit it myself.

Any help/views would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

    Dougie

Going left to right, which lights are flashing – ie 1+3?

Just a wild guess from me Dougie, but why not take a look at the pump? 😉

    :zap: POWER OFF FIRST!!!! :zap:

Or from top to bottom (WD420) 😉

If the neons are Reduced Creases & Time Saver that is F05. pressure switch stuck on full.

As Martin suggests, eliminate the simple things first, check for sump or pump blockage or failure.

    Hi Guys

Thanks for the help. I’ve checked the sump and it was blocked so I’ve cleared that and its now pumping the water clear. However, its now filling and then pumping straight back out again.

Now its just the time saver and the power thats flashing.

    Help???

    Cheers

    Oh dear,

Better if you give us the neons as numbers from 1 to 5, however neon 4 flashing together with On/Off neon is code F01.

Motor triac short circuit 😥 , you may have disturbed the wiring harness or possibly splashed water in the wrong place.

    Hi Guys

Once again thanks for your help.

Turned the machine over, took all the connections off and gave them a blow dry and hey presto, working very nicely now.

    Cheers

    Turned the machine over,

Please tell me that you didn’t really do that. 😥

Tilt, lean, lie on its side or front, having made certain that it is safe to do so, but never, ever, turn the machine upside down.

You can do serious, long term damage if you do this.

You are not going to believe this.

The machine has started making a grinding noise intermittently during the wash and spin cycles. Its a loud cackle rather than a low grind. (initially I thought it was a electrical issue) My mother in law assures me it was making this noise whilst we were on holiday so its nothing to do with moving the machine to fix the pump problems.

    Any suggestions?

    Cheers

Check the pump again, it sounds like a button or coin is in there 😉

If not, it may be the pump itself as they can get noisy especially after being blocked.

I don’t think our canny scotzman has actually looked at the pump yet Dave?

…but then I’m just guessing again :martin:
