Tried fitting a pattern heater from 2 different suppliers and they just pull out when they are tightened up .
Fitting a genuine one instead and had no problems.
One pattern had less rubber but had an extra thicker bit of rubber near the tightening bracket and the other had no coller but more rubber than the genuine.
Anyone else had problems or is it just me.I normally just fit the genuine and never had a problem
Thanks, the Connect element just pops out and the Qualtex element is just as bad.
The Qualtex does have a flange but its alot larger than the original and there is less seal length than the original. What a waist of money ,i got the Qualtex one last week so i orderd the Connect element thinking that might be better.
What is that part number of the Qualtex element and what model machine are you trying to fit it to? Since that thread I started (and Chris kindly linked to) I personally have had no problems with Qualtex pattern w/m elements.

Amazingley ELE9044 is now only £10.67 + VAT, but the genuine one, 265961, is
£50.17. So with such a difference in the price, it is even more tempting to fit the pattern one.
