Hi looks like a another Turkish Vestel based machine based on the buttons and the door handle shape? First off I`ve never worked on a Nordmende but I have on similar looking Vestel stuff and I`m fairly sure that is what you have re-badged but I could be totally wrong i.e. I`m guessing/shot in the dark. Tips are very briefly: power off,lid off, fascia panel off, front panel removed. If you have the usual plastic tank held together with 8mm screws the less hassle way at the end of the day is to remove the whole tank out of the chassis taking note of where various wires go. Reason is because there`s no back panel to remove, unless you`ve got something different, and so removing the drum pulley is difficult and knocking in the new bearing almost impossible. Avoid if you can from removing the front concrete weight because the plastic lugs are fairly brittle and they can snap off! Usually with Vestel stuff only the rear tank half is supplied with bearings and oil seal pre fitted..expensive to buy and therefore pointless based on cost and that`s if you can get it, all I can say is the common Vestel oil seal size is 35x62x10 bearing 6206 front bearing and 6205 rear whether yours is I wouldn`t know as can`t see any info which is scant on Vestel stuff at the best of times. tip: avoid damaging the tank seal and if you can`t get a new one clean the area without removing the seal and then run a bead of s/sealant around the circumference. Of course things may have changed and your tank may well be sealed so all this speel is useless to you. Sorry for being vague but like I said I`ve never worked on a Nordmende to date. Boluck. Seems that Nordmende stuff have a 3 year warranty if you registered on purchase, 2 years if you didn`t.

Thanks for advice, replaced drum bearings & seal, used “FAG” bearings 6204Z, 6203Z, SEAL 25X47X10 from motor factors.
Ran ok for 2 washes, developed intermittent flashing lights & program not finishing?
nordMende have ignored my emails, should be rebranded “needMending”January 13, 2015 at 9:31 pm #422981sce

First thanks for the info on the bearings, FAG bearings are an ok make I use them myself on occasion and yet again another new one to add to the list of bearing and seal sizes. It has been 7 days since you replied, did you give up on it or was it a dodgy wire causing your new flashing light fault, it probably isn`t anything too bad? Let us know please.
Some of these firms do not give a flying banana. Appalling attitude and gives the trade a really bad name, which is bad enough already, though based on some of the other similar importers they are not alone. I looked up the make under washing machines and it seems that there are only 6 parts ever listed, typically near useless!!! Your right about the make, sums them up!January 15, 2015 at 12:01 am #422982fixitok

You are right about flashing lights, slight leak from bottom of drum made its way
to heating element terminals, after drying & checking all electrical connections
normal service restored – fingers crossed.
Talked to a local serviceman, not very helpful, he says I will be lucky to get 3 months from drum repair.
Could be sour grapes, knowledge share on the web has affected their income??January 15, 2015 at 12:21 am #422983kwatt

Well, if it wore out the first set quickly the chances are…
He may well be off on the timing but probably not the ultimate outcome I’m afraid.
As I am often known to be wont to saying, we can fix sure but, we can’t make it any better.

No, more likely why would he even be bothered to look it up if he’s not getting anything from it. No sale of a service call or part to be had and, to be still more blunt, it’s often not worth doing on many of the cheap brands anyway so, why bother with it?
Probably like most people, if they’re not getting paid to go to work then, they don’t go to work and are unsurprisingly disinterested.
The kind souls that help on here are of a different mindset for the most part.

Well done for sorting out the leak and stopping the flashing light problem. Do not get to disheartened by the comments made about your bearing change. So long as the bearing shaft and bearing seal hub was not chewed up by the original bearing failure, in other words you nipped it in the bud before it got really bad, you MIGHT be ok; I say MIGHT because I have my doubts, without proof, that the original oil seals are just poor quality. Snce you have now replaced the oil seal with a new set of bearings you could be ok for……? Good fun isn`t it? No? Surely not!

Seamy
I emailed nordMende when my washing machine needed drum bearings. Got an automated reply stating customer service would contact me. Nothing heard since.
Rang suppliers of the washing machine, they told me they no longer stock
norMende (wonder why?) & they were unable to recommend a service man
