KeymasterFor those that know me personally will know that the last few months have been the hardest of my life, we have fought hard against all that that has put against us but unfortunately due to horrible dealings with factoring companies after 36 years Apple Electrics was put into administration on the 24/05/15.
Telling the 20 staff that this was the end was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do and although a few of us have grouped together to restart, closing the family business wasn’t an easy thing to do.
The reason im telling you this is the following:

When your removed from your building and the administrators and everyone marches in and takes over, they tear the place apart and what they leave behind is the mess you see in the pictures, you would have thought they would have cleared things up before taking the photos, its disheartening to see everything you have worked your whole life to achieve left in tatters and with lot numbers stuck to it.Simon

I have been there Simon. It isn’t at all any fun.
The only comfort I can offer is that, sometimes, it’s for the best although you may not see that for a while.

Simon
I am so sorry to learn of this and I wish you well for the future!
As Ken says, sometime in the future you will realise that it was the right thing to do and life can be rebuilt and work better but on a smaller scale.
Keep your chin up mate and look forward now to building what you need to keep your life on track.
You have my details if you think I can help in any way.

I am so so sorry to hear this news Simon. You, your brother Paul and I have worked together directly and indirectly over these many years. And as you know I worked alongside your father way back years before in our heady days at Hotpoint. So I truly am sad for you guys but at the same time know you have what it takes to pick yourselves up and move on. I wish you all the best for the future.
Regards
Martin.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and support, my wife asked what i was going to do now and i said start again, this is all i know.
So me and Paul will rebuild but we keep it smaller this time, being the biggest around isn’t always the best as i have learnt the hard waySimon

sorry to hear but think back ten years and more we all had a chance to make a proper living. I think more than a few of us are just hanging in in the hope of reaching retirement like you say “what else do you know”
best wishes wilf

As one who has experienced being shafted, had a high Court sheriff appear and a business closed you have my sympathy. There is always another option and actually I’m better off, sometimes it’s the push that was need, it for me was easier to slog on than walk away, that push ultimately should have been my choice.
All the best.
