ParticipantI have just been perusing the ‘swindle thread’ and i would like to say that not all manufacturers are bad. I know of a good manufacturer who is very beneficial to the independant repairer.

I was not refering to ISE but can’t divulge the name of this manufacturer and the setup they offer without permission from the owners of UK whitegoods as it would create a conflict of interests with regard to ISE.

KeymasterWhy would anyone need permission to mention a manufacturer or brand name?
Sorry don’t get what the big mystery is or why permission is needed but it does all sound a bit odd Andy.

I did explain Ken, that this manufacturer runs a scheme similar to ISE and i don’t want to tread on anyone’s toes.
If it’s OK with you then i will explain who it is and what they do. I don’t want to stir up any excretia but i do know that many of those who are struggling with the current declining repair situation would be benefited by this knowledge.

KeymasterThere’s several that offer the repairer the ability to repair their own, Gorenje being one of them, but then so did Hoover, Hotpoint, Zanussi and a host of others at one time.
I’m not stopping you posting a name but I find the cloak and dagger stuff a little disconcerting.
