i have been to an awp512l
the on/off button which clips onto the console panel had come apart
the moulding for the clip was warped
i put a screw in it to hold secure
now as good as new
will i now get the claim rejected as in essence the button was pushed through by the 84 year old customer
but only because of a damaged clipNovember 24, 2010 at 4:13 pm #336022kwatt

I think the original post should be a sticky as it’s getting lost in the forum.

What if we get called out to a dead machine under warrantee… Change PCB & Door interlock .. on checking machine the machine then runs but has a blockage ….
Who is responsible for the blockage in that instance?

I think you need to add that Amica won’t pay for a fault with the moulded plug as I found out the other day after being called out as it was tripping the electric and changed the manufacturers plug and all is well again however Amica say the plug is not under warranty ❓ ❓ so guess who loses out.

Forward me the details and I’ll look into it for you as that sounds a bit daft.
Bear in mind that whilst there are almost always blanket rules but, there’s the exceptions to the rules as well. However, to fight the good fight, you need the evidence to back up what you’re reporting and the more info the better.
Saying stuff like, “plug faulty, replaced” on a job sheet is unlikely to produce results. Other than a “WTF” reaction as that’s virtually useless to anyone.
I’m not saying that’s the case but, trust me, it happens more often than not.
Giving photos when you know it’s one that might get knocked back, is borderline or liable to be an issue along with a bit more than a few words and explaining often goes a long way to helping your case for both you and the customer.
Just saying to bear it in mind as we have to go back to Poland for Amica and Sweden for Asko stuff and dumbed down notes just don’t cut it when we’re trying to fight the engineer’s corner. Even for machines covered by insurance or whatever, we need the info to defend you.

I can forward the moulded plug as I kept it,fault was tripping breaker as soon as switched on checked the machine and changed the plug and all is now well.
I sent a job request to Amica but they knocked it back as plug ain’t warrantied they said ,I understand if it’s the cable which has been damaged etc but a moulded plug?
I’ll forward the job details to you in a pm as well
