Numatic George only half working

My George wet/dry vac has suddenly stopped working on the vac side of things. He’s regularly emptied, filter cleaned, pipe checked for blockages etc. But now when I press the switch for the vacuum – nothing. When the switch for the wet side of things is pressed he still turns on and you can hear him go. So I’m kinda assuming it’s not his cable that is broken, or the fuse. Any advice would be much appreciated! Poor George is a much loved member of the family, especially since we got the Puppy Who Shreds Everything, I need him back!

Could be either the switch or the associated circuit board..

Is there anyway to determine that myself? Or to attempt a repair myself?

The switch is the obvious one to check first! 😉

Not to sound daft but what should I be looking for to determine if it’s the switch?

Check the terminals with a test meter.
