Is it inside the cavity that it’s warm a the lower rear?

I think it is inside the cavity as i can only check from the inside as it is intergrated. i checked a bit ago and it seems to have cooled down slightly but it is still warm.

My first instinct is a lack of ventilation, overheated compressor running weak as it’s classic symptoms of it.
How old is the machine?
Is there a vent in the plinth or are you aware of any ventilation at the back of the units?
It is far from uncommon for kitchen fitters to assume that fridges don’t need any ventilation and they box them in, they overheat and eventually burn out. It can take a few years of being over-worked for this to happen. It’s not good news I’m afraid if this is the case.

Thanks for the help. Think my best bet is to get an engineer out so they can have a proper look at it as i have only recently moved into the house and only know a a small amount about the appliances. Think they are about three years old and they were fitted by mfi so that would fit in with your kitchen fitters not thinking theory 😥

Hi Andy,
Sadly most kitchen fitters seem not to think or be able to read installation instructions. The single biggest problem that we get in the first few months of ownership is mis-installation but with refrigeration it often takes a while to manifest itself. 🙁
Try the repairs@ link for an engineer as they’ll be able to confirm it for you,

Hi,
i think your fridge freezer might just be iced up in the freezer section, is there ice on the back of the fridge? if so, remove baskets in the freezer and look for ice in the lower rear vents. If you see ice defrost it for at least 24 hours, with freezer door open.
The fridge is warm as i think you have switched the heater on ( orange light at top of fridge)? I so switch it off as it will not help. 😕 -
