Ocean APM6823 Intergrated Fridge/Freezer

hi, i have a Ocean APM6823 Intergrated Fridge/Freezer, unfortunately the wife put a few cans of coke in the frezzer and hey presto they exploded !, the result of which the frezzer now doesnt seem to work, the fan at the back (behind the case’in) still goes round and the element still frosts a little but it doesnt freeze anything?, has anyone any ideas on wot could be wrong or where i could get my hands on a manual or even where i could buy a replacement…searched the web and cant find anything…does ocean even still exisit ?

It was originally supplied by MFI, probably part of a kitchen package. You’ll be hard pressed to find an exact replacement with the same sized doors.

Odd that the exploding cans caused it though unless damage has been done to the internal pipework and the gas has escaped 😕

It does sound like a system fault though, especially if the main motor (compressor) is running constantly.

I would ask an engineer to call and assess to be honest as the system needs special equipment to test, try the repairs@ link below, that should show someone 🙂

Thanks Dave, i’ll have a look on repairs and try and get someone round, the fact that its still cold in there (just not freezing) does show some hope ?

best thing to do is leave the fridge of for 24/48 hrs to defrost the which has probably built up then see if it works after that
