Ocean Premier 22/9 fridge section “ceiling” warm

Hi
I have an Ocean Premier 22/9. Probably 14 years old, maybe more.
I have noticed that the top area of the fridge section is warm. Butter etc is coming out of the top trays soft.
Yesterday I turned the control up to 4 but though it is perhaps not quite as warm, the butter is still not hard.
Is it worth fixing?

Is the door turning off the light switch.

Check to see if the light turns off.

A good way is to put your mobile phone on video record and put it in the fridge.

Close the door leave it shut for 5 seconds the open the door and take the phone out and look at the video.

I affixed a small sponge sticker to the door. The light now turns off when the door closes. Can’t thank you enough though now I have no excuse to buy a newer one. All is well again.

You are better off with the Ocean than some of the newer Fridge / Freezers.
