Mmm – It was your idea…
There’ll be a minute somewhere.
Just be sensible? An Englishman, a Scotsman and a Welshman go to London….
Better stop at that point. 😀

We have to get and keep, then send to T all receipts to charge the WTA, we pay out our own pockets up front.
No receipts, we don’t get the money back.
Receipts for booze (bar bills) will be rejected. 🙁
In all honesty, give her the receipts please as I can’t stand getting the grief over it and, I have to live with it!
We’re only allowed an overnight on the Thursday as well, just for fun..
Once Ade has the agenda and we know what time we finish it may be handy to stay the Friday as well to debrief ,If needs be I will foot that one for mekwatt wrote:Who suggested her to do this? It’s like the fr1ggin’ Nazi party has taken control of finances..
err…. you did ,something about her being very good at that kind of thing . 😆

As usual K making me out to be some kind of accounts monster :rolls: .
I simply pointed out the fact that there are no credit cards for the WTA and since many places don’t take cheques anymore, you would each have to pay from your own funds, then send me the receipts so you could be reimbursed.
Only in a passing comment did i mention alternative transport and Hotel arrangements, hey if i can save the WTA money where is the harm in that. 😀
Anyway note to self keep my mouth shut in future and let everyone get on with it. 😆
K don’t even think about coming back with any kind of reply to the last bit. 😉

Email recieved:
Dear Adrian
Further to our conversation, I can confirm our meeting here at the OFT for 10:00 on 23rd April 2010.
In attendance from your association will be yourself and Lawrence Carey and Kenneth Watt.
I am being temporarily assigned to a new role within the OFT so I will probably not be at the meeting. your contacts at this stage of the process will be Michael Stephenson (020 7211 8363) and Kate Damania.
If I can be of any further help please let me know.
Regards

Ade & Lawrence, did you get the flight times?
Which brings me to the next problem…
Volcanic ash.
Ade can you book a hotel within Tube distance of the OFT and ensure that it has parking available so that, if I do need to drive down, I can and leave the car at the hotel to collect once we’re done?
Just in case as they’re talking about chaos over the next ten days.

I’m sussing rooms out at the mo, what’s the chance of getting a definate drive or fly down by say close of play Wednesday? If you’re driving, can get one a close to the OFT to avoid travelling into Central London early Friday, but if fly, I’ll get one close to Gatwick… Gatwick to the OFT is 30miles / 1hr drive according to AA website, so don’t really want to book Gatwick if you’re driving…

Can I just correct the above! Ken, you put the stoppers on their questions on most occastions! 😉
But seriously, the COP is en route! For the benefit of those that wasn’t there, the COP Senior staff went from the opinion of referring us to Trustmark to ‘Give us the code’ in about an hour!
I don’t have ‘Minutes’ (Sorry Tracey), but bottom line is, we have an awesome COP, the OFT people that need to, like us! We all left there with a smile (Untill we hit London traffic)!
Stage 1 is under way, stage 2 will probably be ‘Fast tracked’ due to Kens input about John and monitoring so I seriously think, within 18-24 Months, our members can happily advertise that we, the WTA are OFT appoved!
As a result of this meeting today though, a WTA Council meeting is needed pretty soon, like the next few weeks IMO, as the ball is rolling now, so we need to make sure we have everyone briefed and commited ASAP…
Ade 🙂
