oh no i’ve got a samsung!

hi everyone
i’m a newbie and i’ve got a samsung rs21dcsv for my sins.
12 months ago samsung repaired the unit under a general recall as the fridge was faulty by design.unfortunately the problem has returned but samsung will not touch it under warranty.
the problem is the fan and cooler matrix are freezing up.i stripped the interior down to defrost it and it worked for about 6 weeks but the problem has returned.
could this be a component fault that can be replaced or do i need to call samsung engineers to look at it?(a new unit may be the cheaper option!)
any advice will be greatly appreciated

samsung extended the warranty for that fault to 5 years

itll probably need a defrost heater, give them a ring back, it should be covered

samsung will not touch the unit as it is just over 5 yrs old
is this component something i can purchase and fit myself?
