    Hi.

Oven doesn’t work since a blue flash a few days ago which tripped the fuse box :tools:

We’ve now found a crack at the bottom of the lamp fitting which is likely to have caused the blow out, but, after reading other forum posts I’m worried the short circuit might have affected other components too so we’ve bought a Multimeter to check … these are the resistance readings at 2k.

    Broken Lamp = 1
    New Lamp = .169
    Fan Element = .022
    Grill Element – Middle = .029
    Grill Element – Outer = .055

Does this mean that everything should work again with just a new lamp?

    Thanks for the advice!

Many modern electronic controlled ovens fail when the oven light blows. Their circuit board/timer control goes south 🙁

It would help enormously if you impart what make AND full model of oven you have?

    PNC is 944 181 154 02 it is AEG.

Yes this is what I was concerned about but I’d hoped that the ohms readings would mean it was still working or at least the parts that typically fail 😳

Is the best thing to do to try it with the replacement bulb?
