I have a Britannia ’90’ 2 oven cooker range. No idea how old it is. If it helps, on the small oven door frame there are the following references MOD 81-10T6-88 ART JPD100-6MP 02480540 and I presume at least one or more of these are the model & serial number.
Anyway, I’ve a problem with the main oven control. Recently the ‘Conventional Oven’ position has ceased to function (but will if you jiggle the control) plus the ‘Lower Element’ position has ceased entirely – all other positions of the control work properly.
I assume that this indicates a problem with the regulator unit behind the control knob ?
help please – can anyone confirm whether this is the likely culprit and also where a new unit may be bought and whether it’s a user job to replace it.
    Thanks in advance

Sounds like a classic control switch failure and in that cooker it should be this one used for the main oven:
