    its a ce104 she puts it on its heats up then she says it starts to wash then after 1 or 2 mins it trips elec off, she puts elec back on then it works ok, did a cont test and leakage test both where spot on, tested after it heated up and again spot on did not trip when i was there! put new brushes in as they where down but still tripped, anyone advise

    What was the overall insulation reading just out of interest Dop? Maybe the consumer unit is a little sensitive to this elderly beast. Or maybe a wire shorting in the harness somewhere? Perhaps even the mains suppressor is past its best?

    insulation 20 did say to her box may be sensitve to this old machine!

    Hmm? ’tis a bit on the high side. Does the motor contribute to most of it, say if you disconnected the motor then meggered it for example?
