old electra classique el230 cooker

hi guys trying to change the front cooker ring on this its the old spirral type . you used to just realease a catch at front and the whole top would lift up like a draw bridge . not on this one .has 2 screws at front left and right .took them out still wont lift up . how you get the bloody up on this model ,?help:rolleyes:

found a hit for an EL230 on electrolux

cooker built 1994 so may be correct

have emailed the parts list and breakdowns may give you some ideas
