Dryer starts heating for about 1 min then stops heating and tumbles cold.

I am thinking it could be a faulty TOC cutting in or it could be the thermostat?

About 25 years old, does anyone remember working on these old machines?

    any ideas gents?

    Round about 1993/4.

I can scan and e-mail you the wiring diagrams if you like.

I’m sure this model had the tablet type toc pop riveted in the front metal shield where the heater is.

When it failed it did give you that symptom.

i agree…..we used to change that tablet toc for this fault when i worked at hoover……. there used to be a hotspot on the spiral element so we would stretch the element where it was sited next to the tablet
