Old Hotpoint/Indesit bearing kit

Had a sort out of my spare parts over the weekend and found an old Hotpoint bearing kit C00202418. Visually, the parts appear in good condition but the bag smells and feels greasy. Is the kit fit for the bin?

If my old memory is correct those bearings came in a plastic bag, the bearings and seal had a light machine type oil covering on them which if I remember correctly did have a whiff to it.

So I think they would be okay. The only part I would check would be the rubber seal for any degradation.

Agreed, I have seven of these kits on stock all dated in last two years. They all smell of grease which is normal.

Reassuring! Thanks for the advice. The rubber seal will need repacking with grease I think as due to how it was store it got pushed out of the outer ring, but otherwise it looks in good condition.
