Old Indesit 1996 w/machine drum not turning – PCB problem???

I have an old but stored and now in service for 1 year Indesit WN1063WG circa 1996
drum will suddenly not turn or spin – have changed w/wound resistor on control board (blown/corroded) with hopefully similar type/values – still not turning, but if pcb shroud is touched on motor (earthed??) the motor spins but is not controlled.
No other visible faults with pcb # EM13SFB – old resistor # is MO5S 5Ks 5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} replacement from Maplin part# L5R6 is 7W w/w 5.6R

Any ideas if there is another component to be checked – I can’t ID any other track faults on the PCB

I am not a elec techy but am competant on elec diagnostics

Triac probably – Radio Spares carry a good range.

Please don’t do live testing, very dangerous.

forgive my ignorance but whats a TRIAC and does it need programming or simply replacing – how do I tell numbers etc

code on this beasty is
MAC15 A10 9535 with a small Motorola logo wing on it

I have digi pics of this damn board and Triac cnat attatch them to this post – bolts to the large matal shroud – I assume this is the heat shrink no other 3 legged things lurking that Ican see – oh there is a small blue square thing in the PCB with a white centre and 47K on the top- not bolted to anything

I really appreciate your help and patience

after much searching – icant get onto the rs webpage – so Icalled up tech support – helpful – gave me aRS partno of 5450191 but not in stock till July !!!! – cant look that no up on their search page – stumped
silly q but what does a Triac do??? – would Maplin keep these do you think or ???
