    I need a pump for an old servis quartz mod number I think is 636 or something similar. The pump that’s on is the original shaded pole pump but I have been told I can fit a synchronous hoover logic pump is this correct ?

    I’m pretty sure that’s right. There’s a 9636 model which could be what you have. Alternatively most wholesalers do a universal pump kit with various chambers which enables you to fit an Askoll to it. E.g. Electrue PMP888.

    the hoover logic pump will fit it.
