ModeratorI have just called to THIS couple this morning to fix their ISE 2 washer.
He is amazingly sprightly, had the machine dragged out and ready for me. 8)

I’ve got a 95 yr old lady tomorrow with a nice hotpoint WMdoor lock blown timer but how about “our” oldest engineer?

he will need to be to see out the warranty won’t he?
ISE 2 seems a bit overkill for a old couple?

Its just over 12 months old, still under warranty for another 12 months, ISE 2 mk 1.
I did come across one local individual ( can’t bring myself to call him an engineer ) :rolls: . He sold a 89 year old lady an ISE 10 last year, she only washes two loads a week. 😥

young people
always tell you their excact age.. ie im 4 years and 7 months …middle age
are always a bit vague ,,,,but why do old people always tell your their age, even when youve not asked ????? , i doesnt matter what your doing it always creeps into the conversation.. im mean what do they want you to say back to them…
any tips … appart from oh well youve not got long to go then..
or well yes i can see why you want to repair , no point in buying a new one ..lol ..ally

Had a call to cooker, old tricity, oven inner cavity rotting away.
Said it’s not reparable you need a new one, customer said “I don’t want to be buying a new one at my age,I’m 100 in 4 months”.
Had no idea she was that old and didn’t wear glasses either 😯
Strange logic,why worry at that age. 😕August 20, 2009 at 9:36 am #294938chalky

For me at 61 it’s not worth selling appliances with a 10 year gaurantee as at 70 i won’t want u/g calls 🙂
Probably keep going though to some extent though. -
