Well I spoke to the guy who is part of comet service that is now being hived of into OnCall .
He has been given the job of creating a network for overspill and rural areas ,he is coming to see me in two weeks time ,he is currently sorting out peterborough ,then working his way south ,wasn’t prepared to quote rates as they were flexible .
I have told him no less than £45 and gas and SBS will carry a premium he coughed and said he needed to speak to his boss as it was becoming fairly obvious to him that Comet were wanting to pay Northern rates for Southern engineers and that wasn’t working .
He did let slip that they are looking at third party work and have landed a major contract that he will tell me about when he sees me.
wasn’t there a crazy rumour somewhere about Comet doing DSG work ….
Also I don’t know who this PSS solutions are in Trade work and vacancies are ,I wonder if they are anything to do with this .
We really need a stooge engineer to apply for these jobs …

LawrenceI have a man! Say the word, the application is done! We can fudge qualifications / experience etc as it’s not a real job interest… The purpose would be to get a bum on a chair at interview level, after that, the ‘Stooge’ wouldn’t be interested! We could give this man a code name like 00UKW 😆
